The OG SRC
Founded in Lewisburg, PA, Stucco Running Club was created in the winter of 2009 by nine members of the Bucknell Men's Cross Country team. Due to roster size limitations, the men were cut from indoor track team, with the intent that they would return in the fall of 2010 for the cross country season.
To continue their training through the indoor and outdoor track seasons, they formed Stucco Running Club and had the ultimate goal of racing at the Penn Relays Distance Classic 20k on April 18, 2010.
During the track seasons, they focused on longer distance training under the guidance of coach Kip Hoffman with intermittent track races through the indoor and outdoor track seasons.
The longer distance training paid off and the men placed second as a team at the 20k that April. Results of the 20k can be found here. Competition under Stucco Running Club was put on a brief pause during from fall of 2010 through spring of 2011 as the runners competed again for the Bucknell Men's Cross Country team, but then picked up after several of the original members graduated from Bucknell in May 2011.
Since it's beginning in 2009, SRC has spread from Lewisburg, PA to across the USA and is always easily visible with the classic orange and blue diagonal stripes.
